FOR-HIRE VEHICLE & DRIVER LISTS NOW AVAILABLE ON OPEN DATA

The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) is pleased to announce that effective immediately, two enhanced For Hire Vehicle (FHV) lists, one for drivers and one for vehicles, will provide licensing status information that is currently found on a number of separate TLC lists. These lists are currently available on the TLC'S website.

These new lists provide a unified location where information about Livery vehicles, Black Cars, and Luxury Limousines can be found. Please note: The current web lists for these categories will remain active through August 31, 2015. After that time only the OpenData lists will be available.

OpenData provides significant benefits over the current Excel spreadsheet postings on the TLC website, including but not limited to:

  • They are updated 6 days a week. Licensees who cleared a suspension late Friday will show up as active when the Saturday list is published at about 4PM. The list can be viewed from your smartphone.

  • You can tailor reports to quickly check the license status of your regular drivers and vehicles.

  • You can create, save and export reports and views online.

  • Allows you to quickly filter and find a specific licensee's status.

These new lists can be found on the TLC's Current Licensees page:
