NEW MTA BRIDGE AND TUNNEL TOLLS IN EFFECT

IMPORTANT NOTICE

The New York Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) wishes to remind all its licensees that the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has raised a number of Bridge and Tunnel tolls as of 2 a.m. December 30, 2010. It should be noted that TLC regulations require all medallion taxicabs to be equipped with E-ZPass tags, and drivers must request reimbursement at the E-ZPass rate.

DRUG TEST FEE INCREASED BY 50 CENTS

The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) wishes to notify its applicants and licensees that, beginning January 3, 2011, the fee charged by LabCorp for the mandatory drug tests will be increased by $0.50 from $25.50 to $26.00.

Licensees and applicants may continue to pay their drug test fee with a major credit card, debit card, and\or money orders.

All money orders should be made payable to: LabCorp.


Industry Notice #11-03

TEMPORARY DIVERSION OF SOUTHBOUND TRAFFIC OUT OF LAGUARDIA AIRPORT

The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) wishes to alert its licensees that the planned diversion of southbound traffic toward Ditmars Boulevard and the eastbound Grand Central Parkway ramp out of LaGuardia Airport onto a two lane temporary 94th Street Bridge began on Tuesday, January 18, 2011.

Northbound traffic entering the airport will follow the current two lanes on the existing 94th Street Bridge. This configuration will be in effect for approximately one year.

Please allow extra travel time due to this project.
