An Invitation from the |
To our members and all leaders in the transportation industry: I, along with the leadership of the Taxicab, Limousine & Paratransit Association, would like to formally invite you to celebrate TLPA's 100th anniversary. That celebration, officially known as the 99th Annual Convention & Trade Show, takes places from October 8 to 12 at the Hyatt Regency Denver and Colorado Convention Center.
Our association has represented the needs of for-hire transportation companies that serve business travelers, tourists, people with disabilities and the general public for 100 years. This represents a proud legacy of service that began with the iconic yellow taxicab during the first part of the 20th century.
A century later, the TLPA is the largest and oldest transportation association of its kind, representing some 1,000 members who operate more than 100,000 vehicles and who serve 900 million passengers each year. The TLPA is the voice of the industry in Washington, D.C., advocating for its members on federal laws and regulations that affect for-hire fleets.
In Denver, we're gathering to mark this milestone. Our Annual Convention & Trade Show is your chance to gather with fellow operators and industry suppliers from around the world in an atmosphere dedicated to new ideas, innovative products and services, networking and education.
During this convention, we'll discuss innovative new insurance options and a series of cost cutting strategies to keep your company competitive. We'll introduce TLPA's new national marketing campaign for members. We'll also endorse a new business platform and host important discussions on operational, marketing and regulatory issues.
In short, you can't miss it. What's more, because of the difficulty many of our member are experiencing due to hurricanes and floods, both TLPA and the Hyatt Regency Denver extended the deadlines for TLPA's early registration.
So, on behalf of the entire association, I cordially invite you to celebrate our centennial in Denver and, with your help, we can build a stronger industry and move forward into the next century of TLPA.
